All New Daily excuse…

I have been training for my first marathon and have been going along very nicely untill this week…. I am more motivated to put my hand in the toaster or to wash my face with toilet water than to head out onto the road for a run.   Because of this I have been thinking up excuse after excuse to rather sit on the couch and watch Dexter than follow my new program.  Not all of them are new excuses, I have used some of my trusty old ones like “I feel like I’m getting sick” and the classic “I’m tired” a bit too often and had to think up a few new ones.  “I’m having a rest week” and “I have a tight ITB” are two of my brand new ones.  I have actually been making excuses so many days in a row that today I am comfortable with the truth and that is that I am plain and simply put lazy and don’t want to go running! EEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeek!!  I do however have to go running if i don’t want to die on the 5th of November during my Kaapsehoop 42km.  I have a feeling this afternoon my back might be sore, but we’ll have to see.

The Daily Excuse

I still have a pretty good excuse to extract myself from unwanted situations with my car that is now probably in a million pieces somewhere in Mamelodi and I’m going to be able to use this excuse untill the end of September as it’s going to take that long to DEREGISTER my car! Can you believe it! I am however using this excuse to a good end today and plan to run to work… It’s about thirteen kilometres and a lot of dirt road so I am actually looking forward to it… So this is officially the first post where I use excuses not to get out of things or be lazy but to get fit and run far!  The backpack containing my laptop may however be my undoing but we will see!

The BEST Excuse EVER – Stolen Car

So I eventually dragged myself to buy Winston his sunscreen and now I know, when I don’t feel like doing something there is definately a greater power trying to steer me in a diffirent direction… I am however not going to steer anything other than my bicycle any time soon as my car got stolen outside the docters office whilst I was innocently buying sunscreen…

I now officially have the best excuse when I don’t want to do something, I have no car…

I have now formed a plan in my head of how I am going to run to work, we’ll have to see how that works out as it’s about 13km there and it may feel a bit further with my laptop on my back. I am also rather surprised with my reaction to the theft and apart from feeling like a bit of a fool standing around looking for my car I am very philosophical about it.  On the bright side neither myself nor my laptop was in the car and they can honestly rather take my car! The other thing that is allmost more upsetting than the fact that I have lost my car is that I renewed my licence last week and paid a R300 fine because it was expired, I should have listned to the excuse in the back of my head and gone at the end of the month…

I am however very sure that the criminals won’t get far.  Said car has been due for a service since February this year and I have recently been very worried that I was going to go around a corner and have my wheels come of while the fan belt snaps and the engine explodes in a big cloud of smoke.  So I really hope while speeding away the nifty thief meets a deserved fate in my little brave Mazda.

I just Don’t Wanna…

So at last I have renewed my cars licence… Ran out of excuses! I have a feeling the following things are going to bring forward some spectacular excuses:

1.  I have to drive allllll the way to our doctor to buy winston some sunscreen… I know though that he won’t accept any excuse whatsoever!

2. I am starting to train on a program for a marathon… Now I have never been too fond of slogging away on a program so I have a feeling this one is going to provide a few special excuses along the way. Number one being:

I AM TIRED!

The daily excuse…

Every day something happens in my life that I am not in the mood for, and then I allways think up some kind of excuse to get myself out of it.  Today is no diffirent… I have been living up the good life again and find myself in that familiar position of getting fat… So obviously I should go back to Weigh Less and resume my battle with the bulge, but of course I spent half the night staring at the ceiling thinking up excuses to not go.

1.  I will go at the end of the month…

2. I can do it myself, i have the diet plan…

3. I am not reaaaaaly overweight…

4.  My pants still fit… (but for how long)

5.  I’m allready smokin, and being any more smokin will cause a fire…

6.  If I die tomorrow then one last Bar One won’t be the end of the world…

7.  If I don’t eat this chocolate now, it’s going to go off…

8.  Kim Kardashian has a big but, so if i have one it’s maybe ok… or not…

A new day, and a new excuse…. I recently noticed that my cars licence expired in January 2011 and have been using the mwu strike as a very good excuse to delay doing this… Well i think the strike is over so now I have a whole bunch of new excuses…

1.  Again, i will wait until the end of the month,

2. I am too busy,

3. BEST EXCUSE: I DON’T WANT TO…

4.  I will do it tomorrow.

Well I am going to try my best to actually do it today, if it will happen remains to be seen…
